These leather covers are suitable for notebooks, journals and books.

These covers will fit your notebook by it’s height perfectly but it’s width may be somewhat extended. This is useful when you change your notebook and they occasionally come in various thicknesses. Or when used as book covers, they fit thicker and thinner books well. The trick is that the right side of the covers may be folded back – around the hind cover, used as a bookmark or onto the front cover, wrapping the notebook into it. The sizes depend of course on the notebook size but to give some indications: for A5 size notebook you might expect to get additional 4-5cm of expansion room.

The right side cover may be tucked under a strategically placed leather strap to ensure that the covers won’t completely fall off your notebook when opened.

    We offer nice neutral hard-cover notebooks. It has 128 pages and it is bound on the longer edge. 

    Size

    Please mark your notebook's size in millimeters.

    Measurements should be taken on the closed notebook. Measure the width and height of the notebook cover. Then take the measurement of the thickness/ back. 
    Width means here everything you see when looking down onto the notebook (including spiral binding if this is the case). 

    On which edge is your notebook binded?

    Covers will be crafted by our notebook and you do not have to measure anything.

    Crafting covers for A5 notebook costs 81EUR and notebook costs 10EUR.

    Select if the initials should be visible for everyone to see or hidden (more secretive option, hidden somewhere).

    All decorations are hand carved onto the leather. This allows us to offer you to choose any kind of custom image you like.

    • The design could be almost anything you choose: sign, symbol, logo, animal or bird, flower or tree, vehicle or some sort of pattern.
    • Name or initials may be added to this choice. Initials can be carved for sure but if the name is quite long, then may be we have to go with stamps for that.

    Please describe what sort of image would you like.
    You may leave this choice for us but in this case please provide some keywords so we have something for a starting point.

    This is a suitable choice if you are interested in an item that is decorated by hand carved image that extends all over one side or even all over the whole item.

    Images are different to carve. The outcome may be very beautiful and special equally with a very simple design and also with very detailed one. But crafting time in those cases varies a lot and this is why this option can not be fitted into this simple form.

    For an extensive, larger and more detailed decorations please compose a separate letter for us with all your wishes within.
    We are very sorry if this seems overly complicated but this is the point where humans have to interfere and take over the world from computers!

    Note that if you plan to have carved image as a decoration, then fastening might not always be suitable as it will run over the front cover. But images are different and in many occasions this might suit perfectly. On many occasions again, it does not.

    These covers keep your favourite books safe from possible damage when travelling. Sometimes they are also called reading covers but you might as well get those for your most treasured book to decorate and honour it.

    For decoration you may choose hand carved images and / or laced edges.

    Leather Zippered Covers

    Hand crafted vegetable tanned leather covers.

    This zippered cover is built the way that when you open your book in it, there will be nothing under the back of the book that would bend it. This way it will not break your book and when you use the covers for a notebook, there is nothing uncomfortable in the layout to keep you from writing.
    To open the covers completely, there needs to be some allowance for the zipper ends. I decided to use this as an opportunity to arrange the ends as decorative elements on the back side of the covers when the book and zipper is closed.
