    Leather shoulder strap

    Hand crafted vegetable tanned leather straps for a shoulder bag.

    These leather straps on this photo are made to order. The length of the shoulder strap may be adjusted by metal buckle and strap attaches to the bag by metal hooks. Straps also have a pad that helps to disperse the weight on the shoulder.

    Style and measurements here are just for an example. You may order shoulder strap in any size or color, also with or without carvings. It is also possible to choose the color of the metal parts (we like brass but there is also silver and sometimes black colored parts available).

    We also consider the weight the straps should carry – so should you. It might look pretty to have a narrow strap for your bag but how big is your bag and how much weight do you carry in it? This may be sometimes solved with double layered strap to improve the durability of the shoulder strap.
    Double layered strap with seams (we do not just glue them) may be also desired for style.

    For ordering the strap, please let us know first what sort of strap are you looking for, so we may discuss all the details.

    • How wide should the shoulder strap be?
    • Should the strap’s length be adjustable by metal buckle or would you like the strap in certain legth?
    • How long should the strap be? For adjustable strap please name the distance (for example: 100-120cm)
    • Would you like the straps with pads for dispersing the weight?
    • Please describe the weight the straps should tolerate. This is not necessary if you have a really small bag but very important for bigger briefcases or shoulder bags.
    • What color would you like?
    • Would you like hand carved images as decorations for your strap?

    Hand carved leather belt.

    This belt is decorated by hand carved pattern that is unique in it’s own way. It has been carved onto leather by free hand, measuring by an eye. Whether it is the mountains you hold dear, cold winter with icicles or waves of the stormy sea – this belt is for you!

    The hand carved pattern on this belt is a fruit of the mind, a fantasy – this has not been guided by any pattern or plan. So as there is no written proof of this, you might start to wonder if this belt is actually real or just a myth?

    One of the belts – the widest one – is decorated by hand carved pattern. The pattern is prepared by myself – somehow I tend to end up most of the times with the combination of rectangles and triangles. These patterns are mostly inspired by Estonian woven belt patterns.

    Natural Leather Belt

    Hand carved leather belt.

    This belt has a natural finish as I have not used any dyes (colors) on it. In a way this might be the most interesting option. Natural vegetable tanned leather gathers lot’s of character while it is used and this sort of finish features this magic best – this belt will save the places you’ve visited, times you’ve been through. You might even notice it daily.

    Hand carved pattern for this belt is prepared by myself. For some reason I always end up with at least some sort of rectangles!

  • Belts are placed onto the fallen tree trunk in the midst of green and red-brown forest plants. Some small sparkling electrical lights have been used to decorate the scene so there are small little lights surrounding the belts from the right side of the image. On the left upper side of the image there are also some farther threes vaguely visible through the bokeh effect and it gives a nice deepness to this photo.

    Classic leather belts that make me wonder. For some reason it seems to me that these must be worn by two persons that are close to each other.
    May be sisters, may be brothers,
    might be friends or even  lovers?
    We’ll see what future brings. If these will serve together or be separated for forever. This in turn makes me wonder – if something has forged as a pair, then would the seven lands and seas be enough to break them apart? (Behind seven lands and seas… is classic beginning for a fairy-tale in Estonia).

    Thick vegetable tanned desk pad, made for an antique desk. The pad is attached to the special plate these kinds of desks usually have and has been fitted as best as possible to match the height of the surrounding desk height.

    Pad is decorated by hand carved framing, featuring the family crest marking on each corner.

    Leather Chair Covers

    This is a small exhibition of the chair covers we have been working on.

    May be the most curious story is about those antique chair covers, which were originally decorated by pressed images. For a one time and unique item we do not mind to create a hand carved replica. So first we made drawings of the original covers and then transferred them onto new leather to be carved. Extensive work but the outcome is of course worth every second spent on it.

    The other interesting project was the roorkhee chair of course. The wooden parts were provided by the customer to be fitted for the leather covers and other parts. Later on we have crafted occasionally also just strap sets for these kinds of chairs.
